Dr Helen L.H. Chau

Clinical Psychologist
Developmental and Educational Psychologist

Dr Helen LH Chau is an AHPRA approved psychologist and has areas of practice endorsements in the Clinical area, as well as in the Developmental and Educational area. She has extensive experience and training in assessment of a range of development concerns in children from aged 12 months to 16 years of age. She undertakes advanced clinical psycho-diagnostic assessment for differential diagnoses of the child’s developmental difficulties including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Anxiety Disorder, Selective Mutism, Developmental Delays, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and social emotional concerns. Helen is a trained user of Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and Autism Diagnostic Interview - Revised (ADI-R) for autism assessment.

Helen completed her Master degree in Child and Educational Psychology at Monash University in 1997 and her Doctor of Philosophy at RMIT University in 2011. Her research area is in early intervention for preschool children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She had worked in Specialist Children’s Services for 10 years and another 10 years in Monash Children’s Hospital part-time. Helen is now full-time running the Pathways Child Psychology practice. She is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She is an AHPRA board approved supervisor.

I love to work with children and families. I endeavour to support each child and family and help them find the unique pathways to grow and fulfil their potentials.

 

Moses Liu

Clinical Psychologist


Moses Liu is an AHPRA registered psychologist with an approved area of practice endorsement in clinical psychology. He has a special interest in assessment and treatment for pre-school and school aged children with development difficulties and/or mental health issues including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety and depression. He is experienced in conducting cognitive and educational assessment. He is also skilled in using ADOS-2, ADI-R and CARS-2 for autism assessment.

Moses is a trained facilitator for Secret Agent Society Small Group Program (an evidence-based, multimedia program to help children improve their social and emotional resilience) and Westmead Feelings Program (an intervention program for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder). Moses’s work also includes providing general counselling for children with anxiety and depression, short-term parenting support, and management of behavioural and emotional concerns.

Moses is a bilingual psychologist and he speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Moses has completed Master of Psychology (Clinical) and is a Member of Australian Psychological Society (APS) College of Clinical Psychologists. He is an approved Supervisor for the Psychology Board of Australia.

It is a joy to help children recognise and harness their strengths, and to support them in developing their capabilities.

 

Dr Gladys Lai Cheng Chia

B.Des., Grad.Dip.(Psych), M.Psych.(Ed&Dev)/ PhD, MAPS
Educational and Developmental Psychologist


Gladys is an endorsed Educational and Developmental Psychologist, who has completed a Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology/Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at Monash University. Her PhD research investigated the use of technology and self-management interventions to support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Gladys has published research papers with Review Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders, and Journal of Medical Internet Research (JMIR) mHealth and uHealth. She has also presented results of her research at the annual conference of ABA Australia. Gladys has completed training in the use of Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) and Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R).

Gladys has experience in diagnostic assessments and intervention for children with learning difficulties and developmental issues including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and anxiety. She has an interest in helping children to identify and utilise their strengths, and to support them with relevant strategies to grow into adaptive and resilient individuals. Gladys has conducted group programs for children in school settings to build resilience and social skills. She has developed webinars for kindergarten teachers in the area of behavioural management.

Gladys is bilingual, and she speaks English and Mandarin.

Children are great imitators. So give them something great to imitate.

 

Jason, Pun Fung LAM

B. Psych. (Hons), M. Psych. (Edu.Psych), MAPS
Educational and Developmental Psychologist


Jason is an AHPRA registered psychologist with training in the areas of educational and developmental psychology and counselling. Jason has worked across schools and private practices from both overseas and in Australia, providing psychological support and counselling services to children and adolescents. Jason is a bilingual psychologist and he speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. He is currently working part-time at a Community Health Organisation.

Jason works with children, teenagers, and young adults with a range of developmental and educational difficulties, i.e., Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Specific Learning Disorder (SLD). He also has an interest in providing intervention and counselling for children and adolescents targeting depression, anxiety, culture shocks, loneliness, academic stress, and perfectionism.

Thomas Watson

B. Psych. (Hons),M. Psych. (Ed&Dev), MAPS
Psychologist


Thomas is a registered psychologist with training in the area of educational and developmental psychology. After studying at the University of Queensland, he completed his training at Monash Univeristy and Monash Health.

Thomas has experience working in schools in Australia and abroad with children and adolescents to deliver assistance in the classroom for those with additional needs, as well as psychological assessment, intervention, and group programs to develop social skills. He currently works with children, their families, and their school communities in his role as a school psychologist across a number of primary schools in Melbourne. Thomas also works privately with children and their families to deliver individual and group-based interventions. His areas of interest include cognitive assessment, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, positive behaviour intervention, social skills development and positive psychology.

Thomas understands that visiting a psychologist can be a daunting time for children as well as their families. He is committed to providing a positive, relaxed, and safe environment for clients to explore thoughts and feelings, and to learn new skills.

In his spare time, Thomas enjoys cinema, bush walks, travel, and teaching himself to cook.

Throughout my upbringing, I had the privilege of encountering genuinely compassionate individuals who have shaped my life. I hope to reciprocate and support the future generations in return.

 

Jacqueline Wong

Psychologist


Jacqueline is a Registered Psychologist under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS). She completed her professional training in educational psychology at The University of Melbourne. Her passion lies in working with neurodiverse children and adolescents, including those with Specific Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autistic Individuals, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and intellectual disabilities (ID).

She offers a range of services, including comprehensive psychoeducational assessments, individual therapy, social skills groups, and consultations with parents and teachers. Drawing from her extensive experience working with international school students from diverse cultural backgrounds in Hong Kong, Jacqueline has developed strong cultural awareness and sensitivity that informs her practice. Recognizing the importance of a holistic approach, she also places great emphasis on adopting a family systemic perspective. Through engaging family members and fostering collaboration, she strives to facilitate the achievement of common goals and promote the overall well-being of the family unit. Jacqueline is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (Putonghua), enabling her to effectively conduct sessions for bilingual Chinese families.

During her spare time, Jacqueline enjoys cooking, going to the gym and making mini DIY projects. Jacqueline finds solace in the art of cooking and crafting. For her, these are not just a hobby; it is a form of meditation that provides her with inner peace.

Lucinda Yueng

Lucinda joined the Pathways team in 2019. She completed her Bachelor Degree in Commerce and Arts. Her previous experience is in corporate accounting and administration. Lucinda is involved in accounting and administrative work in the practice. She enjoys working with children.
